Job Description
Duties:
Providing day to day application development, maintenance and support functions
- Interacting with various stakeholders (Business Team, Application Support Team and other development teams) to collect and understand client and technical requirements, recommend, influence and document strategic decisions
- Estimating costs and timelines for the implementation of proposed solutions
- Developing, documenting, programming, testing and implementing technical solutions to meet business requirements
- Conducting preventative maintenance, which includes changes to the applications that would improve system performance or application usability
- Providing support to Business Owners for user acceptance testing
- Providing input to the creation of new policies and procedures
- Collaborating with other teams within Technology Services to investigate and ensure implementation of effective system solutions
- Multi-tasking in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines
Qualifications:
- A university degree in Computer Science or a related field and a minimum of two (2) years related experience. Subject to the response to this competition, an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered, or the required years of experience may be increased.
- Experience in development with Crystal Reports
- Experience in SQL Server 2008 or above or Oracle database environments
- Experience with the CSDC AMANDA Suite of Products
- Experience with support of Commerial Off the Shelf applications(COTS)
- Experience with support of Web Development toolsets such as Visual Studio.Net 2012 or higher, utilizing oneor more of ASP.Net, VB.Net or C#.Net
- Experience with Java and/or Javascript
- Experience with PL/SQL
- Experience with the Remedy ITSM environment
- Experience with software development methodologies
- Experience with training in business analysis and system requirements development
